MB1086 : Scania P360 Fire Engine

For me this is what collecting is all about, the Matchbox MB1086 Scania P360 Fire Engine is a great casting and one that I think should appeal to a lot of collectors. Its real, its accurate, its well designed and it really captures the look and feel of the real thing.  In 2021 we see (so far) 3 new variations and I love it!

It appears as part of the country selections, firstly in the UK Collection in a very typical British livery of a Fire Rescue vehicle that you can find on the streets of any British city.  Its next outing is in the Russia Collection

Its outing in the Russia Collection is a great addition to anyones collection in my opinion, not only a great casting but its rare to find any casting at any time from Matchbox to be in a Russian livery and for me thats what Matchbox is about.  This outing is great inclusion and one that can help educate kids, I know when I was young I loved seeing vehicles from another country or different countries liveries, its a real eye opening to what else is out in this big wide world, well done Mattel for this one.

Lastly the 3rd new variation in a short time is the inclusion in the France Collection and like its Russian partner, its got a great localised livery making it a whole different release from the previous two and again adding to its play value and educational value.  Again well done Mattel for these three Matchbox releases, this is what it is all about, small regional differences make a huge difference all round.

Of course thats not all; for those that are collecting the cards as well as the model, two of these models also appear in the Global Collection as well, so look out for that one.
