MB981 : Chevrolet Silverado 4×4 Pickup

As part of the MBX Sedans 5 Pack we see the return of an old favourite in the form of the Chevrolet Silverado 4×4 Pickup.  This casting first saw the light of day as MB399) back in 1999, of course in 2015 like so many other castings this one too was cost reduced, the interior plastic was extended to take in most of the rear bed thus reducing the metal content as a way of saving money.

As much as I dont like this constant cheapening of the once ”Greatest name in Diecast” at least this has been tastefully done so as to not impact the overall look of the vehicle.

This version however does look good in gloss black and I love the tampo design showcasing a variety of brands on the side to tie in with the Matchbox Parts Delivery name.
