I love a 5 pack with a theme and this years MBX Rescue (or is it MBX Recue) 5 pack is a good one. Full of some great complimentary castings with the running theme of ”Boone County” which for those of us outside the USA; yes its a real place and yes they are real liveries based on the real vehicles used in Boone County.
Boone County is placed somewhere between St.Louis & Kansas City and a bit over 1500 miles from Mattel in El Segundo so how are they connected? Well to be honest I dont know, I guess someone at Mattel or within the Matchbox team must come from or have links to the Boone County Emergency services.
The set consists of the Matchbox MB1021 : ’15 Ram 1500 Police , MB817 : Ford F-550 Super Duty , MB1179 : 2016 Ford Interceptor Utility , MB1178 : International Ambulance & finally the MB996 : Hazard Squad
