MB1167 : Mini Cooper Countryman

We are only just 4 months in to 2021 and already we have seen two variations of the MB1167 Mini Cooper Countryman.  This is a great little model but sadly is indicative of the way Mattel are taking the greatest name in diecast.  The first version to be added to my collection is the grey one released as part of the UK Collection, a great choice and the tampo details really make it stand out as a great little model.

But as much as I love this model it is a great example of Mattels continued cost cutting, the designers have done such a great job, the model really looks great and certainly represents the vehicle well but for me it is let down by the over use of plastic; in this case the entire roof section.

Its next outing so early in the year is part of the basic range of models; coming in at #51 in the range is the spectacularly orange coloured variation.  Again this is a great car and the colour choice is just as great, I really like this one and am sure you will too.
