Matchbox MB1227 : 2020 Honda E (2021 Basic Range)
Another new casting for 2021 and a look at the future direction of Matchbox; considering the amount if new ”E” vehicles that Mattel will be brining out under the Matchbox brand in 2022 this is a taste of whats to come.
Like electric vehicles or not you cant deny that they are and will continue to become more prevalent on our roads and for that reason its good to see Matchbox casting some of these designs for inclusion into the basic range, after all realism and modern vehicles is what Matchbox is about and what most collectors like to see.

Certainly the casting captures the real vehicle very well, the only downside I see is the seemingly lack of an interior; the tampo printing is 100% on point and really make this a great looking car but the cheapening (is that a word?) of the brand by doing things like blacked out windows and no interior ruin what could be a really great casting.
