Once again the Gathering in Albuquerque is over for another year, the presentation from Mattel seemed to be on the whole well received; all reports I have heard is everyone once again really enjoyed themselves and a good time was had by all.  As a side note keep the end of July 2022 free so you can book in for the 20th Annual Gathering.

In the mean time lets have a look at the exclusive models only available at the gathering.  Each year Jim Gallegos who invests so much of his time in getting this event organised also has some very special models made by Mattel for exclusive release at the Matchbox Gathering and this year as expected is no exception and once again the models are absolutely stunning.

Two different castings were used for the exclusive models, the first being the Divco Milk Truck in 2 variations, one has additional tampo printing on the roof.

The second casting is the 1980 Porsche 911 Turbo and again there where two variations of this model one in green and the other in silver/grey

All models, no matter which one you look at is truly a work of art and being so limited adds that nice little hint of exclusivity as well.  If as a collector you would like one then keep an eye out as they do come to market every now and then but very rarely and they command a premium when or if they do.

To ensure you get one without paying the premium, then be ready at midnight 31st December 2021 (USA time) to get yourself booked in for the 2022 event where I am sure there will again be some absolutely stunning exclusive models like those above.
