MB750 : 2008 Lotus Evora

Matchbox MB750 : 2008 Lotus Evora (London Motor Show 2008)

Way back in 2008 this superb casting first saw the light of day at that years London Motor Show where the model debut alongside the real 1:1 version Lotus Evora in a matching silver colour.

As the years went by we have seen a vast array of variations released in a variety of colours in fact this years release will be the 13th such variation and like all those that go before it, the 2021 variation taken from this years MBX Exotics 5 pack will not disappoint either.

Presented in a striking yellow, its a colour that to date has not been used on this casting so that makes it a welcome addition to the Matchbox Lotus Evora lineup. Over the years though yellow is a colour that Matchbox have used on pre-production version as its a great colour to highlight any casting errors and there lies my issue with this release.

You can see when you look at the images that using such a light colour means that Mattel probably should use a thicker coat, particularly around the rear section; with the missing taillight tampo it really stands out that the model could do with an additional coat of yellow.  That aside this is a great casting and its so nice to see it in a never before seen colour so it will make a very welcoem addition to the collection
