MB970 : 2015 Ford F-150 Contractor Truck

This model should be a good earner for Mattel, listed at #78 in the 2021 basic range which is the current outing for the Ford F-150 Contractors Truck.  For me I like the casting and the subject matter is a great one for collectors and for kids alike but this model is definitely setup to be a money maker.  Firstly a contractors truck like this one means if you are setting up a play scene of workers then you might want more than one of these models if your construction team work for a big company but more importantly for collectors is the variation on the model.

Matchbox MB970 : 2015 Ford F-150 Contractor Truck (Grey window variant)

This outing comes in two different flavours, one with black windows and the other with grey windows.  The different coloured windows means a lot of collectors will have to hunt down both version to ensure a complete collection so that means extra sales for Mattel.  A great way to increase sales from the collector market.  Sadly with this model the different coloured windows do hide the complete lack of an interior, something that lets the overall model down, another cost cutting measure that impacts the look of the model.

Apart from that fact, I think this is great little model and it will definitely be making its way in to my collection.
