MB973 : Runway Wrangler

Matchbox MB973 : Runway Wrangler (2021 MBX Airport 5 Pack)

With the release on the MBX Airport 5 Pack we again see the MB973 : Runway Wrangler casting back after a few years and for me its a welcome return.  This is one of those generic Matchbox Original designs that really hits the mark and after spending many years working at airports a vehicle that not only rings true in its realism but reminds me of a another time in my life and that brings a small to my face.

The problem for me though is why we have only seen this casting released in two different variations, its a great casting and could have so much potential.  Is it the metal content? is that too high for the Mattel accountants liking?  This one could be used with a similar liveried Skybusters casting to make a great twin pack idea and with the right licensing a great way for any airline to advertise themselves, surely something they will want to do as the skies re-open to travel in the coming months or years; they may even do it cheap (Hint: Mattel contact some airlines about this)
