Its such a shame that the distribution of Mattels range of Matchbox products is so dismal particularly when you see models like this. The larger scale models have always appealed to me because the detail can be greater and if you are modelling something like a truck as is the case here then it is far more realistic when put up against a standard Matchbox car.

The International MV Box Truck is number 1 in the range of 16 Real Working Rigs for 2021 and it also its first outing as its a new model for this year and what a great debut it is.

In a very familiar livery of the Speedy X-Press company, its a great choice for this first outing and I love the working features, the opening rear doors and the operational tail lift are a great idea although when not in use the metal tail lift supports are quite unsightly and do detract from the overall look

All up I think this is a great model but without direct access to these models its not one that many collectors will get a chance to add to their collections. A missed opportunity from Mattel in my opinion
