Matchbox MB1189 : MBX Mini Swisher (2019 Basic Range)

The MBX Mini Swisher was first released in the basic range of 2019, again in 2020 and once more for this year (2021) we see another version of this great little casting.  Many people moan about generics but as I have stated before in other blogs there is a good reason for them to exist and at the end of the day they do allow Mattel to spend money on licensed vehicles which are far more popular.

As generic vehicles go, this has to rank up there as one of the better ones, for me this is what a generic vehicle should be; a reasonable non-descript vehicle that no child or even adult for that matter would know the name of the real life equivalent yet immediately recognise what it is meant to be.

The downside is the colour choice, bright orange probably is eye catching for kids and I guess as a childs toy thats acceptable but as an adult collector I find it to be a little unrealistic, unlike the first outing which was a more subtle and believable colour choice.
