MB1199 : 2019 Jeep Renegade

First introduced to the Matchbox lineup in 2020 in a stunning lime green colour this year the 2019 Jeep Renegade appears at #26 in the basic range in a really attractive bright red.  The 5 spoke modern wheels chosen for this casting I think are a great choice as they really suit the model and are very similar to the real thing.

A lot of times we see the window piece extended to an over sized sky roof design, mostly this is done to save money by reducing the overall weight and amount of metal used in the model but in this case its warranted as the real vehicle has a glass roof section that covers almost all of the vehicles roof so in this case its a realistic inclusion.

Again we see the use of a more realistic tampo print for the headlights and grille as well as the tail lights and the ‘Jeep’ license plate.  Once more I think Mattel have got this one right, a modern vehicle, seen on streets all over the world; this one should be popular with kids and collectors alike.
