Matchbox MB1237 : 2020 Land Rover Defender 90 (Basic Range)

New for 2021 is this fantastic Land Rover Defender 90. The Defender 90 model has been a part of the Matchbox range on and off since 1987 but that was the original casting or a modified version of it, this is different; its the all new 2020 model year version of the classic Land Rover Defender 90.

The new casting in looks is exactly what you would want, its a great representation of the real thing and captures the look well. The metallic green chosen for the body colour highlights the casting details well and is a great contrast to the black windows and roof and the dark grey roof.

The problem with the casting is that once again there is no interior and that is being hidden by the blacked out windows, for me this is not a good look on any model and detracts from an otherwise brilliant casting. Pay close attention to the tampo printing on the front though as it is impeccable, the detail in the headlights is a real plus in the overall look of the model.
