Y04-1 : 1928 Sentinel Steam Wagon
Another blast from the past! The Sentinel Steam Wagon was the fourth model in the 1st series of Models of Yesteryear and was in the range for just 4 short years from 1956 until 1960 when it was reaplced by the Y04-2 1905 Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Engine.
The Sentinel only has the 4 major variations, each in the distinctive blue with the Sand & Gravel Supplies insignia on the front, back and sides.
The differences to look for are the box which was gold on all releases with the exception of Issue #01, the wheels which only appeared on the short run issue #04 in balck plastic; otherwise were metal and the axle types which started with crimped ends but soon moved to the riveted end we see on Issue #02
